A massage gun is a handheld percussion massager: a motor drives a head back and forth quickly, and you guide it over the muscles you want to work on. Size is the first choice. How to use one: start on the lowest setting, keep the head moving rather than holding it in one spot, spend a minute or two on each area, and stay off the spine, the front of the neck, joints and any area that is injured or bruised. Battery and charging matter more than the spec sheet suggests. Charge a new gun fully before the first use, and keep it topped up so it is ready after a long day. Store it in a dry place, wipe the head clean after use, and keep it out of reach of children. A mini gun is also a practical gift for someone who hikes, hunts or works on their feet all day.
